L’Oréal USA has named long-standing employee Nathalie Gerschtein as President of its Consumer Products Division.

Gerschtein joined the beauty heavyweight in 2002 as Sales Executive for eastern France and worked her way up to Product Manager for L’Oréal Paris hair care.

She has since worked across its Asian divisions before moving back to the US as President of Maybelline New York, Garnier and Essie.

She will succeed the role from Michel Brousset, who has left to pursue personal entrepreneurial activities outside of the L’Oréal Group.

Meanwhile, Alanna McDonald will replace her role as President for Maybelline New York, Garnier and Essie.

“Nathalie’s business acumen and vast experience within the Consumer Products Division will be a critical asset in driving strong acceleration of our omni-channel strategy,” said Frédéric Rozé, President and CEO of L’Oréal USA.

“Her expertise in e-commerce, her vision to reinvent the in-store environment and her deep knowledge of the very strategic skin care category make Nathalie the perfect candidate to realise the modern, strategic direction of the Consumers Products Division in the US.”

Rozé also expressed his gratitude to Brousset, he said: “I would like to thank Michel Brousset for his leadership over the past three years at the Consumers Products Division.

“Michel has enhanced our customer partnerships and set the division on a strong course for continued business acceleration in the future.”
