LVMH’s Chief Digital Officer Ian Rogers has stepped down from his role to join a French fintech start-up.

The Californian native was recruited to join the French beauty and fashion conglomerate from Apple and enlisted him to expand its ecommerce operations.

He also embarked on ambitious projects in AI and helped build relationships with start-up brands in the industry.

Rogers will move to an advisory position for the group.

“We are very grateful for Ian’s contribution and look forward to continuing to work with him in his advisory role, including hosting the LVMH Innovation Award,” said Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of LVMH.

“Ian has helped integrate digital more deeply into our organisations with a sensitivity to the codes of luxury.”

Michael David joins the group to become Chief Omnichannel Officer, while LVMH’s Group IT Director, Franck Le Moal, will oversee the Digital Partnership Team.
