The new digital exhibition at Shanghai’s Power Station of Art celebrates the brand’s cult beauty range

Luxury Swiss brand La Mer is celebrating its signature Crème de la Mer range with a new immersive, multi-sensory exhibition.

The brand’s Edge of the Sea exhibition, which is on display at Shanghai’s Power Station of Art, is a three-dimensional projection of aquatic-inspired themes, including a kelp forest video, and tactile sea wave made of silk.

In order to create the exhibition, La Mer partnered with New York-based creative agency School House, lighting partner Luciforma and production partner APAX Group.

“This was the first international exhibition that School House has had the opportunity to conceptualise and produce,” said School House’s founder Christopher Skinner.

“It required us to bridge strategic thinking, retail experience and brand storytelling in a new way for a new market.”

At the back of the space, visitors will be able to discover the brand’s product range in an apothecary style laboratory.

The exhibition is open until 23 October.
