The fragrance arm of French homeware brand Lalique has extended its line of scents.

The new trio joins Lalique’s Les Compositions Parfumées range and is said to express three olfactory stories.

Blue Rise, formulated by Drom Perfumer Vincent Ricord, is blended with floral notes of iris, jasmine sambac and cashmere wood.

“The one and only image I had in mind when I imagined Blue Rise was an immensely beautiful lagoon,” said Ricord.

Valérie Garnuch-Mentzel’s Velvet Plum creation features facets of musk and sunwarmed wood, iris and patchouli.

To make the fragrance the Drom Senior Perfumer said she was inspired by the “beauty and velvety touch of suede”.

Meanwhile, Infinite Shine is housed in a sunset yellow bottle and is infused with notes of rose, sandalwood and saffron.

Commenting on this scent creation Drom Perfumer Corinne Chachen, who has previously worked with Mont Blanc, said: “In the Middle East, I had the privilege of experiencing an unforgettable ritual.

“The moment when men and women scent their garments in the smoke of smouldering oud, the folds of gold-embroidered fabric swirling and fluttering, filling the whole room with fragrance.

“This was my inspiration.”

Already available in the collection is Electric Purple, Pink Paradise and Sweet Amber.

The scents retail at £190 each and are available in Lalique stores and lalique.com.
