Lalique introduces female fragrance, Living Lalique

The new female fragrance features iris butter as its key ingredient

Living Lalique is a bold new fragrance designed to reflect the “urban, contemporary, active life of the Lalique woman”.

Inspired by the elegant swallow Lalique has chosen as its emblem, the fragrance opens with top notes of black pepper, bergamot and nutmeg, leading to heart notes of iris butter, vanilla and tonka bean. Woody base notes of sandalwood, vetiver and cashmeran complete the scent.

The transparent glass bottle, available in 50ml (£69) and 100ml (£97) variants, is inspired by the ribbed design of the Carnette Fleur Art Nouveau-style bottle created by René Lalique in 1911. The term ‘carnette’ designates the wide, flat glass ring encircling the collar of the bottle. The cap features Lalique’s swallows emblem, while the art deco-style box is adorned with a flight of gold swallows set against a delicately embossed white background. It is circled with a golden band bearing the name of the fragrance in white letters.

A highly concentrated form of the fragrance, Extrait de Parfum, is also available. Featuring an even richer measure of iris butter, it is presented in a choice of two special flacons: a precious crystal bottle (£1,000), and a very exclusive limited edition of twelve crystal bottles decorated with gold leaf (£9,500).
