Lise Watier steps down from eponymous brand

Pierre Plassard has been named the new President and CEO

Lise Watier, founder of her eponymous Lise Watier Cosmétiques beauty brand, has named Pierre Plassard as the new President and CEO of the company. Watier has managed the brand for 35 years, working alongside her husband, Serge Rocheleau, who has served as CEO.

After stepping down from her management role, Watier will dedicate her time to promoting the Lise Watier Foundation, which is aimed at helping and empowering women. She will continue to sit on the board of directors.

Plassard joins the company from online travel agency voyageprive.com, where he led its French operations and international development. Prior to this, he spent 16 years with the L'Oreal group, managing the Active Cosmetics division in Morocco, China and several other western European countries.

Lise Watier Cosmétiques was founded in 1972, and is headquartered in Montreal, Canada. It distributes around 500 products in more than 2,000 points of sale in Canada and the US, and since 2007, has been controlled by majority shareholder Imperial Capital Corporation.
