Luxury beauty helps boost Beiersdorf group sales

Beiersdorf has announced a 6% rise in organic group sales for the first nine months of its financial year boosted by strong performance from its luxury skin care sector. Sales reached £4.8bn for the period following a strong first half year, according to the German beauty giant.

La Prairie, the group’s luxury skin care brand, saw a substantial hike in sales, up 46.7%, helping to boost sales within the consumer business unit by 5.6%. Sales for Nivea were up 2.7%, while sales for its Derma business, which includes the Eucerin brand, were up 6.3%.
