The new matte range is said to be weightless with moisturising properties to condition and hydrate lips

MAC Cosmetics has revealed a new matte lipstick available in 16 shades.

Unlike traditional matte lipsticks, the Powder Kiss Lipstick (£17.50) is designed to deliver a blur of colour rather than achieving bold effect.

Meanwhile, its hydrating properties are said to condition and moisturise lips.

Terry Barber, MAC’s Director of Make-up Artistry, said: “The power kiss lipstick formula rose from the backstage technique of lutein on lipstick, blotting it off and feathering it with a brush to create the most beautiful, effortlessly blurred finish.

“It’s truly colour and finely-tuned conditioning in one products.”

Featured in the collection are shades from mid-tone pinks to beiges and bright fuchsias to warm reds.

The product is available online now and will launch across MAC UK counters from 4 October.
