MAC Cosmetics employs new Senior VP Consumer Marketing

MAC Cosmetics, owned by Estée Lauder Companies, has appointed Emory University graduate Kelly Solomon as its new Senior Vice President, Consumer Marketing.

In the new role, she will lead the brand’s content and channel marketing strategies in order to engage MAC’s global consumers.

Reporting to MAC’s Global Brand President, Karen Buglisi Weiler, and Senior VP, Global General Manager, Philippe Pintel, she will also be responsible for accelerating the execution of MAC’s social media strategies in partnership with Creative.

Pintal said: “Kelly brings a digital-first mindset to MAC.

“Her alignment with our core brand DNA combined with a boundary-pushing vision in digital and marketing will be great assets in unleashing creativity within the teams to achieve breakthrough success and elevate the consumer experience.”

Solomon joins the firm from Samsung where she served as its Head of Digital Marketing.

Prior to this she led and executed digital marketing strategies for L’Oréal and Godiva Chocolatier.

Buglisi Weiler added: “Kelly shares our brand vision to put the consumer first and make them a partner in expanding MAC’s presence globally.
