MILK raises £140,000 in crowd-funding scheme in 36 hours

The on-demand beauty business aims to raise £300,000 through Seedrs

MILK Beauty, an on-demand beauty business based in London, UK, has raised 47% of its £300,000 crowd-funding target in the first 36 hours.

The company, which provides massages, facials, nail treatments and waxing to residential, hotel and office addresses, raised £140,000 in just over one day of fundraising. MILK Beauty enlisted Seedrs, a European crowdfunding platform, to oversee the fundraising; MILK shares have been priced at £8.90 each.

Lucy Patterson, Managing Director of MILK Beauty, said: ““2016 is going to be an exciting year at MILK. To kick start our growth plans for next year we have launched a dedicated crowd fund through Seedrs. The fund raise will help take the brand to the next level. It is fantastic to see how successfully our campaign has launched.”

MILK Beauty has grown four-fold in 2015, with quarterly revenue rising 43% on average over the year. This year, the company opened two new hub bases in London, the first in Wandsworth to services South West London, and the second in North Kensington to service North West London. Its head office continues to be based in Hackney, which services central, North, east and South East London. The company plans to open another hub in South East London in February 2016.
