MWV to Present Consumer Insights & New Packaging Solutions for Beauty & Personal Care at Luxe Pack New York 2013

MWV’s VP, Global Creative will discuss current satisfaction in beauty and personal care packaging

MeadWestvaco Corporation (NYSE: MWV), a global leader in packaging and packaging solutions, will present “Beauty & Personal Care Products: Consumers Crave the Last Drop,” and showcase its broad portfolio of dispensing solutions, including the new Melodie® Spray Collection at Luxe Pack New York on May 15-16, 2013.

Steve Kazanjian, MWV’s vice president of Global Creative, will present “Beauty & Personal Care Products: Consumers Crave the Last Drop” on Thursday, May 16, at 2:45 p.m. ET. Kazanjian will discuss current satisfaction in beauty and personal care packaging and how brands can do more to appeal to what matters most to consumers. This benchmark study, known as “Packaging Matters,” surveyed more than 3,000 U.S. consumers and explored their habits, experiences and overall satisfaction across several types of packaging.

Luxe Pack New York also marks the official North American launch of the MWV Melodie Spray Collection. Through extensive qualitative and new quantitative research, which will be presented at the show, MWV has proven that a fragrance spray evokes an emotional feeling from the consumer and can be used to form a stronger connection to the brand.

The Melodie Spray Collection features the original Melodie® pump along with Melodie Forever™ and Melodie Agile® allowing brands to match the spray with the distinct personality of each fragrance.

Additionally, Aerosense has a unique a convenient locking feature to prevent the sprayer from unexpectedly activating in a bag or suitcase. The sprayer’s design provides a distinctive look and offers consumers a comfortable spray experience, with the intent to increase brand loyalty.
