The UK-based grooming brand donated a percentage of its product sales from summer 2017, after asking consumers to vote for their preferred charity on social media

Men's grooming brand Rockface has donated £12,000 to pet charity Blue Cross, using a percentage of its product sales over the summer period to help care for sick and homeless pets.

The donation was made after Rockface's social media campaign encouraging its followers to vote for the charity closest to their hearts, which ran last year across the brand's Twitter and Facebook pages.

While Blue Cross came out on top with 14,660 votes, the other participating charities – YoungMinds, a mental health charity for children and young people, and Armed Forces charity SSAFA – each received a £1,500 donation from the grooming brand.

Neil Wilkinson, Director at Rockface, said: “We’re very pleased to be able to donate to Blue Cross just after Christmas and many thanks to everyone who purchased Rockface products during the summer to make it happen.”

Founded in 2010 by a team of former industry members, Rockface is said to be the fastest-growing UK male grooming range in grocery with its cruelty-free and vegan-friendly shower, shaving and skin care products.

Products in the range include All Weather Moisturiser, Active Body Spray and Energising Facewash, with prices starting from £2.99.
