Marvinpac buys minority share in Strand Cosmetics Europe

Strand Cosmetics Europe, the French contract manufacturer of high end skin care and make-up products, has opened its share capital to Swiss packaging specialist Marvinpac.

The Lentilly-based company and Marvinpac have been partners in the Swiss joint venture MS swiss cosmetics since 2015, but it is hoped that this recent move, which will see Marvinpac own a minor (but significant) stake in Strand Cosmetics, will result in both companies becoming even more relevant European partners on the cosmetics market.

Both companies will now be able to provide complete or partial solutions at each step of the value creation chain. Together, they own three French, Swiss and Czech plants, all compliant with European regulations and GMP.

Commenting on the pooling of the companies’ capabilities, Eric Bouvier, CEO of Strand Cosmetics Europe, said: “The goal is to gain agility to serve our customers in the best delivery time and conditions.”

He also reassured customers that “the ‘made in France’ and ‘Swiss made’ criteria will always be respected”.
