Coty has promoted make-up artist Wendy Rowe (pictured) from Burberry Artistic Consultant to Creative Director of Max Factor.

Rowe, who has worked with Burberry for more than 15 years, will now lead Max Factor's creative division and its global team of make-up artists.

In her new role she will head-up the brand’s product innovation, as well as brand education, training, content creation and public relations.

Rowe said: “As one of history’s most famous global cosmetics brands, I’m excited about helping to re-launch it for today’s modern woman, creating new ranges that are easy to shop and use.

“Throughout my career, I’ve seen the needs of women around the world evolve over time, they now need fresh and current solutions which we will be developing.”

The announcement comes shortly after the brand’s repositioning campaign You x Max Factor, its attempt to attract a “broader range of women”.

Over her 20+ year career, Rowe’s beauty brand clients have included Bobbi Brown, MAC, Revlon, Almay and Estée Lauder.

Sheila Chaiban, Global VP at Max Factor, added: Her [Rowe's] passion for make-up, teamed with a real understanding of women and how to help them achieve what they want in as simple a way as possible, means that we knew she would be the perfect partner for us.

“We look forward to her fresh, modern perspective as well as her deep knowledge of the world of make-up artistry.”
