The 18-year-old has worked with the beauty app to create three looks that consumers can virtually try on

Meitu has partnered with social media influencer Bretman Rock on three virtual make-up looks for its MakeupPlus app.

The Hawaii-based vlogger has more than 10 million followers across social media channels and is known for embellishing his vlogs with sharp, cutting humour.

“Bretman’s confidence and humour are contagious, and our users adore Bretman’s trendsetting make-up aesthetic – super glowy, glamorous and always unique,” said Liz Goodno, Global Marketing Communication Director at Meitu.

“We are so excited to partner with Bretman and feature three of his most celebrated make-up looks in our app for our users worldwide.”

To kick-off the partnership, users are encouraged to download the app, post a photo of themselves wearing one of Bretman’s MakeupPlus looks and hashtag #SlayLikeBretman for a chance to win all of the products used in Bretman’s tutorial for one of the looks.

The app also includes make-up tutorials along with beauty looks by influencers such as Lisa Eldridge and NikkieTutorials.

“Make-up is all about creativity to me. It’s fun that my viewers can now try on some of the looks they’ve been asking about,” said Bretman Rock.

“In all seriousness, partnering with MakeupPlus is something new for me and gives people the opportunity to instantly try these looks that they may not normally wear or experiment with in real life. Imitation is the sincerist form of flattery, so I’m really flattered with seeing everyone #SlayLikeBretman with this launch.”
