The CBD manufacturer giant is the first hemp extracts/cannabinoid to join the trade association as executive member

“We’re thrilled to be the first CBD company to join UNPA,” said Fenella Keig, compliance officer of Mile High Labs, commenting on the company's UNPA membership. “The Alliance is unparalleled in its expertise and commitment to the supplement industry. We look forward to working with UNPA leadership and other member organisations to create awareness of CBD and other hemp-derived products,” Keig added.

UNPA is an international association representing more than 100 best-in-class natural products, dietary supplement, functional food, and scientific and technology and related service companies that share a commitment to providing consumers with natural health products of superior quality, benefit and reliability. The organisation has recognised Mile High Labs’ dedication to compliance, quality and transparency in making its decision.

The FDA currently does not have regulations in place for the production and packaging of dietary supplements or food containing CBD. As a result, the quality, consistency and purity of CBD products can vary significantly.

Last September, Mile High Labs passed the ISO 9001:2015, 21 CFR part 111 and 21 CFR part 117 certifications. These audits further demonstrate the company’s dedication to the highest quality standards for manufacturing.

“We’re honoured that Mile High Labs joins UNPA as our first hemp extracts/cannabinoid executive member,” said Loren Israelsen, UNPA president. “The company has demonstrated a clear commitment to quality, science and research together with a world-class facility and a committed and competent management team.

"We look forward to their expertise and perspectives as we work together to promote the responsible sale and use of hemp-based products.”

The announcement was made during UNPA’s annual meeting at SupplySide West, the dietary supplement industry’s premier trade show. The event brings together more than 17,000 ingredient buyers and suppliers from the dietary supplement, beverage, functional food, personal care and sports nutrition industries.

Mile High Labs purchased a 400,000-square-foot former pharmaceutical plant in Broomfield, Colorado. The fully operational facility allows the company to begin production of finished products such as tinctures, capsules, tablets, topicals, and gummies for private label customers.

The Broomfield site also provides an environment for research and collaboration within the CBD industry.
