Lipotec is introducing two novel peptides and other active ingredients at in-cosmetics Asia

Lipotec is introducing its novel peptides Delisens™ and Telangyn™ at in-cosmetics Asia in Bangkok, directed at treating skin disorders that characterise sensitive skin and which are caused by an exaggerated inflammatory response to external stimuli such as cosmetic allergens. Marine-based HA-booster Hyanify™ is also among its new active ingredients on show in Bangkok.

Delisens™ relieves itching while helping sensitive skin to recover its physiological tolerance threshold; it was proved in vitro to highly counteract the release of inflammatory cytokines induced by cosmetic allergens. This novel hexapeptide innovates in the attenuation of neurogenic inflammation by modulating the activity of proteinase-activated receptor 2 (PAR-2), which is crucially involved in the processing of pruritic and/or inflammatory signals. Delisens™ mitigates the stinging and burning effect induced by capsaicin and acid lactic on the skin, as shown in vivo. Moreover it protects the human dermal fibroblasts against UV radiation and stimulates the proliferation of human keratinocyte, contributing to the restoring of the barrier function and the integrity of skin tissue.

Telangyn™ decreases the appearance of facial redness by reducing the levels of interleukins IL-6 and IL-8, which are induced by the antimicrobial peptide LL-37. The expression of this antimicrobial peptide is abnormally high in skin disorders with erythema and dilated blood vessels, such as rosacea. Moreover and thanks to its significant anti-collagenase and anti-tyrosinase activities, Telangyn™ helps to improve skin firmness, elasticity and the evenness of the skin tone. This is a tetrapeptide which also provides a high photoprotective effect to the skin, lowering cell damage.

From marine biotechnology through biofermentation, Hyanify™ is an exopolysaccharide with efficacy in boosting the synthesis of hyaluronic acid in the skin, offering an efficient replenishing effect against wrinkles. As shown in vivo, nasolabial folds reduced in only 14 days of treatment with 1% Hyanify™ solution. HA availability decreases with ageing, altering the balance between synthesis and degradation, which leads to dehydration of the skin and volume loss. Hyanify™ can have a positive impact for potential formulations targeting mature skin where efficient anti-wrinkle and replenishing effects are intended.
