Multi-functional SpecAWK Plus shows its anti-inflammatory efficacy

Published: 7-Aug-2018

The test was conducted by the Pharmacy Laboratory at Guangzhou University and showed a significant anti-inflammatory effect

Inflammation is causing skin ageing, acne and hyper pigmentation.

Under the action of inflammation, normal and healthy skin cells are damaged and withered, which accelerates the aging of the skin and causes it to lose its youth and lustre.

As the environment we live around is full of inflammatory factors, sunlight UV, radiation from various electronic devices, toxic chemicals and dust from the air, such as PM2.5, and bacteria and germs are all responsible for the production of inflammatory factors in the skin. To combat this, in our daily skin care, besides moisturising, whitening and promoting collagen formation, anti-inflammatory is essential.

SpecAWK Plus is a Chinese herbal formula, active, effective and safe. It is designed according to the Chinese traditional medicine theory, each herbs working in a synergistic way. It has been proved to be a multi-target and multi-function active skin care raw material in cell experiments and clinical tests.

SPECCHEM shares with you the anti-inflammatory data of SpecAWK Plus. The test was applied ELISA method conducted by Guangzhou University of Pharmacy Laboratory. Experiments detected the changes of inflammatory cytokines under different concentrations of SpecAWKTM plus. It is proved that SpecAWK Plus is an excellent anti-inflammatory active ingredient.

Cell viability showed that SpecAWK Plus had no significant toxic effects on RAW264.7 cells in the range of 0.025%-0.1%. It helps to determine the safe concentration of SpecAWK Plus to carry on the follow-up experiments.

Conclusion

The report shows that SpecAWK Plus has a significant anti-inflammatory effect. The expression levels of NO, TNF-α and IL-6 in the LPS treatment group were significantly improved compared with the control group, indicating that the inflammatory model was successfully constructed. The expression of NO was observed after 0.025%、0.05% and 0.1% different volume ratios of SpecAWK Plus. The amount decreased by 38.1%±6.9%, 51.8%±6.2%, and 65.4%±3.8%, respectively, compared with the LPS treatment group. At the same time, the expression levels of TNF-α and IL-6 decreased by 47.5%±12.2%、63.0%±6.6%、93.7%±2.6% and 63.3%±8.0%、91.4%±1.4%、93.3%±1.1%, respectively, after addition of different volume concentrations (0.025%、0.05%、0.1%) of SpecAWK Plus. It is indicated that each volume concentration of SpecAWK Plus can significantly inhibit the secretion of pro-inflammatory factors.
