The outbreak of Covid-19 guaranteed 2020 would be a tumultuous year, and many more job losses and stricter lockdowns are on the horizon. Here, Cosmetics Business rounds up four beauty brands offering customers a moment to reset on National Stress Awareness Day

The turn of the decade has not been reflective of the Roaring Twenties a century ago. In fact, it will be infamous as the year of the ‘new normal’, and the beauty sector has seen its fair share of turning tides.

The sector has seen the self-care category catapult to new heights as strains of the coronavirus pandemic take their toll on consumers.

Exacerbated by job losses, lockdowns and working from home (at the end of September, 60% of the UK’s population was reported to be working from home, according to stats from Finder), taking time to reflect on the state of our mental health has never been more warranted.

Here, Cosmetics Business rounds up four beauty brands helping customers unwind for National Stress Awareness Day.

1. Mindful Extracts

Specifically aimed to help reduce anxiety, Mindful Extracts’ range of CBD oils are available in three strengths to maximise on CBD’s holistic benefits.

The products vary from 500mg CBD, 10% CBD oil with 1,000mg of CBD and the strongest contains 2,000mg CBD.

Each of the CBD products are said to be full-spectrum oils, utilising all of the compounds found in hemp in order to maximise their effects.

The brand also offers insights into combining CBD with mindfulness and holistic practices, including yoga and meditation with guided sessions available via its website, mindfulextracts.co.uk.

2. Forvr Mood

Described as ‘boujie on a budget’, Forvr Mood was founded by beauty influencer Jackie Aina with an emphasis on self-care.

Central to the brand’s debut line are four candles, Match Business, Left on Read, Cuffing Season and Caked Up, including scents varying from pistachio and almond to hazelnut coffee and honey.

As part of the collection, the former US army vetran also introduced a selection of silk headbands and pillowcases.

3. Sanctuary Spa

Earlier this year, Sanctuary Spa introduced a new line of wellness products to help induce sleep.

Blended with white flowers, bergamot and jasmine to relax the body, the floriental scent is infused with patchouli and lavender to relax the user.

Available in the new line is the De-stress Warming Body Balm, Sleep Mist and Calming CBD Oil.

The products are also said to offer relief for skin care concerns, such as eczema and inflammation.

4.Tropic

For its festive gifting collection, direct-selling brand Tropic is offering products that will give consumers ‘a moment of calm and a chance to reset’.

The brand’s three Yuletide-themed gift collections feature skin and body care products to uplift and unwind customers’ moods.

The Joy Drum offers three ranges of the brand’s body scrubs, bath products and lip balms, while the Little Cracker of Joy stars a trio of product bundles for hands and body.

Completing the range is Tropic’s Your Best Skin Bauble available in Clear, Nourish and Glow each comprising a set of products to tackle specific skin care concerns.
