The new 1,140sqft flagship will sell more than 215 SKUs from the brand across its three core categories

Luxury home and fragrance brand Nest Fragrances has opened its first-ever bricks-and-mortar store in its home town, New York City.

Founded by Laura Slatkin in 2008, the brand offers fragrances across three categories: bath and body, home, and fine fragrance, from scented candles and diffusers to hand lotions and edps.

Today, the brand stocks 15 edps, each with its own floral-themed name, including Amazon Lily and Wisteria Blue.

Inside the 1,140sqft space, the brand will offer more than 215 SKUs, as well as limited-edition products and custom-made gift sets, candle accessories and a concierge delivery service across the city.

Commenting on the new store, Slatkin said: “The theme of our first retail store reflects and was inspired by our desire to showcase the Nest Fragrances brand in a harmonious and holistic fashion in an environment that, like our fragrances, is artful, sophisticated and approachable.

“The store’s design combines botanical artwork, modern materials and whimsical details to bring to life a truly enchanted and beautiful fragranced garden.

“I could not be more pleased with the final result.”

Nest trusted the design of its first store with fellow New York-based firm R. Douglas Gellenbeck Studio, which has formerly partnered with luxury department store chain Bergdorf Goodman.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles-based art studio MJ Atelier, was commissioned to create a hand-painted sculpted wall covering for the store, inspired by the 20th Century French interior designer Armand-Albert Rateau.

The new store is located on Elizabeth Street in the NoLIta neighbourhood of Lower Manhattan.
