in-cosmetics – the industry’s leading global platform for personal care ingredients – is welcoming entries for its Lifetime Achievement Award.

Established to recognise and honour outstanding individuals who have made a significant and lasting impact on the industry, the award is in its second year – with the winner to be announced at an awards ceremony open to all exhibitors and visitors at the in-cosmetics 2013 show at Porte de Versailles in Paris on 16 April.

Now is your chance to nominate a candidate for the award, with online nominations being taken through the in-cosmetics website at www.in-cosmetics.com/nominate

During its inaugural year in 2010, the Lifetime Achievement Award attracted entries from all corners of the globe – with more than 1,800 public votes cast – as the industry’s leading personalities received recognition for their professional accomplishments within the field of cosmetic science.

The Lifetime Achievement Award 2010 was presented to Doctor Alain Khaiat, who triumphed over 60 other nominees, including the three runners up - Karl Lintner, Daniel Maes and Johann Wiechers.

The in-cosmetics Lifetime Achievement Award nominations will close on 31 December 2012, with the top four nominees announced on 15 January 2013. An online public vote to determine the winner will then go live, remaining open until 31 March 2013.

Cathy Laporte, Group Marketing Manager for in-cosmetics at Reed Exhibitions, said: “We were delighted with the industry response to the Lifetime Achievement Award during its first year in 2010. The award provides the ideal platform to celebrate those who have offered so much to the industry during their careers. Its return in 2013 is a testament to the inspirational personalities and the continuing strength of the sector. We look forward to awarding the winner in Paris.”

At the show, in-cosmetics 2013 will also celebrate ingredient innovation and functionality with its Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award and Cosmetics & Toiletries will present two R&D awards for Best New Ingredient and Most Creative Application. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 16 April at the same time as The Lifetime Achievement Award.
