NuFACE announces former L'Oréal executive Michael Larrain as new CEO

Larrain joins the award-winning microcurrent beauty device and skin care brand with 20 years of experience at PCA Skin and SkinCeuticals

NuFACE, the US-based skin care brand, has appointed Michael Larrain as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding co-founder and former CEO Tera Peterson.

Larrain brings to the role more than 20 years' experience in the beauty, health and wellness industry as a Strategic Global Executive, where he has helped drive growth for a number of beauty big hitters.

Prior to joining NuFACE, he served as CEO of PCA Skin, and has also held several executive positions at L'Oréal, including President of its Active Cosmetics Division and GM of SkinCeuticals.

In his latest role, he will work to scale the business and drive growth, bringing NuFACE's range of skin care and beauty device products to a wider audience worldwide.

Larrain said: "I am thrilled to join NuFACE as CEO, following Tera's incredible tenure and leadership for the company for the past 15 years.

“NuFACE has an exceptional history as a leader in the beauty device and skin care category and I am excited to be at the helm to lead the team into the next phase of success and growth as we roll out our strategy for the future.”

Peterson will remain with the company as Chairman of the Board and Chief Creative Officer, and will be in charge of the brand's global vision, including marketing and product direction.

She added: “As co-founder of our family-owned business since 2005, I am so proud to see the next stage of success for NuFACE unfold.

“Together, Mike and I are looking forward to an even better, brighter, bolder future for NuFACE and we are honoured to lead the charge."

Founded by Peterson alongside her mother, aesthetician Carol Cole, and sister Kim Morales, today NuFACE specialises in at-home microcurrent beauty devices, with a range of products said to be clinically proven to help to tone, firm and reduce the look of wrinkles, providing instant results and anti-ageing benefits.
