Each polish has been given a name inspired by the European country’s capital city, Lisbon

Coty-owned brand OPI has revealed its Spring/Summer collection inspired by Portugal’s capital city Lisbon.

The Lisbon Collection features 11 new shades each with a Lisbon-inspired name including: No Turning Back From Pink Street, You’ve Got Nata on Me, Closer Than you Might Belém, Tagus in That Selfie!, among others.

Executive Vice President at OPI Suzi Weiss-Fischmann is well-known to be the brains behind OPI's playful names.

She said: “Lisbon is both quaint and trendy at the same time. The city has become the quintessential European destination, thanks to its colourful streets, budding food scene and unique street fashion.”

“In this great walking city, historic castles meet modern art museums and sleepy storefronts give way to vibrant nightclubs.

“Hip new restaurants and top chefs are paving the way for a food renaissance, but you can still find Pastéis De Data, or Portuguese Custard Tarts on every street corner.”

The latest colours are available in OPI’s classic Nail Lacquer (£12.95), Infinite Shine Long-Wear Lacquer (£14.95) and GelColor formulas.

Fischmann added: “With the Lisbon Collection by OPI, consumers can embrace the bright, modern trend with saturated hues of blue, aqua, dark yellow, bright red, magenta and orange coral.

“These vivid colours are beautiful accented by softer hues of rode gold, peach, light pink and white. The entire palette really captures the light, bright, energetic yet charming feeling of Lisbon.”
