Online beauty e-tailer posts record turnover

feeunique.com\'s sales grew 63% to £26.7m


Online beauty product retailer, feelunique.com, has posted record turnover and profits for the year ending March 2012. The Jersey based company’s turnover increased by 63% to £26.7m, while EBITDA rose to £1.98m.

The e-tailer has opened a new London office and increased media spend, including the launch of a new national TV advertising campaign. It predicts that feelunique.com’s turnover will rise 76% to an estimated £46.8m over the next 12 months.

Aaron Chatterley, ceo and co-founder of feelunique.com, said: “Our expansion plan is on track with further exciting developments for 2012. This includes the signing of some new exciting partnerships with premium global brands which we will be announcing shortly.

“We remain extremely positive in our outlook for 2012 and are very excited by the opportunities both in the UK and overseas.”

According to research agency Euromonitor International, the online market for beauty products more than doubled in size between 2005 and 2011 to a value of over £532m but is still relatively undeveloped.

Around one in five women now buy beauty online.
