Blended with a nutrient-rich golden milk formula of turmeric, coconut oil, coconut milk, ginger and honey, the products are designed to care, treat and style hair.

They are also said to be a source of vitamins, minerals and amino acids to ‘nourish, moisturise, renew and style curly hair of all textures’.

Included in the range is a Fortifying Conditioner, Hydrating Shampoo, Intensive Recovery Treatment and two types of Tangle Slayer Conditioning Cream (from US$7), available exclusively from Sally Beauty stores and online.

“The My Black is Beautiful line of hair products was inspired by the 2.6 million women in our online community who have evolving and diverse beauty needs,” said Lela Coffrey, P&G’s Brand Director of Multicultural Beauty.

Meanwhile, Sally Beauty’s VP of Color & Care, Maryann Herskowitz, added: “We are excited and honoured to have partnered with Procter & Gamble and My Black is Beautiful on this new line.

“We share the vision of My Black is Beautiful to celebrate and empower black women.”

The online community was founded by P&G to promote self confidence among African American women and spark a positive conversation around diverse beauty.
