HCT Packaging and L’Occitane have developed eco friendly packaging solutions for the French brand’s limited edition peony-inspired make-up line. Cardboard packaging sourced from sustainably managed forests was used to limit the products’ environmental impact. According to HCT, the project posed two main challenges. Firstly, the paper had to be both textured and laminated and secondly, 17 unique peony decorations were required simultaneously for the artwork.
“For each product, L’Occitane created an original decoration inspired by a specific peony flower, which made the development more complicated that usual, but we really enjoyed working with L’Occitane and we are very proud of this launch,” said project manager HCT France, Jiaying Shen.
HCT has also worked with VIE at home’s VIP Beauty Collection, a compact kit made using a lightweight card component with a bronze outer wrap and gold foil inlay.
