UK heritage fragrance house Penhaligon's is set to reopen its refurbished London flagship store on 21 January. Located on the city's Regent Street, the store will feature a new-look inspired by the Beaux Arts style for which the street has become well known.

Created by British designer Christopher Jenner, who also worked on the brand's first boutique in Singapore which opened in 2011, the new-look store is said to "mix classic Edwardian splendour with modern design details."

The space features purple padded walls, said to take inspiration from chesterfield sofas, along with ceiling roses inspired by Westminster Cathedral. It also includes fittings such as Brighton Pavilion onion dome chandeliers, along with marquetry panelling and handcrafted furniture reflecting the brand's signature bottle shape.

"Our Regent Street boutique was a blank canvas and a flagship location that has allowed us to be bolder in our interpretation of the brand. The street has some fantastic retail concepts; therefore we needed something that would make us standout. Christopher Jenner has created a world that reflects our decades of heritage and our contemporary approach to perfumery and design," said Sarah Rotheram, Penhaligon's ceo.
