Launches new family of print head models as part of Q-Class platform

Fujifilm Dimatix has launched a new family of print head models as part of its Q-Class platform, expanding its Spectra Polaris brand of 512-jet, general purpose, binary, drop-on-demand print heads. The three new models – the PQ-512/15 AAA-2C, PQ-512/35 AAA-2C and PQ-512/85 AAA-2C – have 15, 35 and 85 picoliter fundamental drop sizes and are arrayed at 100 dpi to jet two colours simultaneously using only one print head. They have been designed to complement the earlier 512-jet 15, 35 and 85 picoliter, 200 dpi single colour family.

According to Fujifilm Dimatix, the Polaris 512 print heads deliver adjustable ink drop sizes from 15 to 200 picoliters from 512 individually addressable inkjet nozzles with remarkable jet straightness. They support aqueous ink formulations as well as UV-curable and aggressive organic solvents, making it suitable for a growing range of commercial and industrial printing applications.
