British supermarket chain Planet Organic has brought in advisers as it considers a sale.

According to Sky News, which cited a source close to the process, the grocer is working with advisory business Interpath to review its strategic options.

Planet Organic sells health, wellness and cosmetic products, as well as organic food and drink.

Stocked beauty brands include REN, Dr. Hauschka and Antipodes.

A spokesperson for Planet Organic told Sky News: “We are working closely with our advisors to help us navigate options to secure further investment.

“This additional funding will enable us to support the next phase of our current growth plans.”

The retailer was founded in 1995 by American businesswoman Renée Elliot and runs 13 stores in and around the London, UK area.

In 2020, it acquired fellow London grocer As Nature Intended.

Planet Organic is currently run by George Dymond, who took on the Chief Executive role a year ago.
