Pujolasos, the Spain-based wooden packaging company, has doubled its production capacity in the last year, due to its investments in premium packaging for the cosmetics sector.

The company has produced 50 million packs for premium cosmetics, perfumes and beverages, up from 25 million in the previous year.

Pujolasos said the growth is due to its wide range of projects across the cosmetics sector; it has produced wood-based premium packaging for brands including LVMH, Rituals and Clarins, among others.

Due to its sustainable properties, wood has become a popular packaging material for premium cosmetics brands looking to communicate their environmentally friendly values as well as providing a high end look and feel.

Pujolasos' investment in its wood packaging business has so far seen successful results for the company, as it reported a 31% increase in turnover in 2016 which is expected to grow even higher by the end of 2017.

The company hopes that the investments will allow its clients to enjoy high quality service and value for large volume packaging projects going forward.
