Premium Spanish wood packaging supplier describes its financial gains over the past 12 months as "extraordinary"

Wood packaging supplier Pujolasos reported an increase of 31% in turnover in 2016.

The Spanish company, which caters for the premium packaging sector, expected to close the year on a turnover of u5.4m. Looking ahead to 2017, the company predicts to grow even more, reaching u6.5m in turnover.

Pujolasos stated in a release that its “extraordinary” financial achievement – the first time the company has broken the u5m barrier – is primarily down to the implementation of its growth strategy, which includes using 3D technology to develop caps and wooden components.

By using this technology, the Barcelona-based company has been able to increase production capacity and achieve better results.

All of Pujolasos’ processes are carried out at its facilities in Sant Pere de Torelló including design, development, manufacture, decoration, lacquering, assembly, and research, development and innovation (R+D+I). The R+D+I department was formed in November last year and allows for prototyping and project strategy.

Pujolasos’ clients in the cosmetics and personal care industry includes Loewe, Tous Perfumes and Clarins, which have all opted for the company’s wooden solutions for their new launches.
