Three hour charity fundraiser triumphs

QVC raised more than £290,000 during its annual three-hour Breast Cancer Care charity event this year.

Lisa Snowdon, Breast Cancer Care Ambassador and QVC jewellery designer, helped operate phone lines as calls from supporters donating came in. Those that donated were offered a selection of pink products, including the Breast Cancer Care Celebrity Charm Bracelet and the Butler and Wilson Heart & Bow Brooch, which were the most popular.

QVC has been running the feature for 16 years, raising a total of £5.3m through a combination of specialist shows and internal employee initiatives for Breast Cancer Care.

Sue Leeson, VP of Brand & Communications at QVC, commented: “We’ve long been an avid supporter of the tremendous work that Breast Cancer Care does. It’s a charity close to the hearts of our audience and we’re delighted they’ve helped us raise such an incredible amount of money for a great cause.”
