R&D Manager – Fragrance

Responsible for the development of new and existing product development projects

As one of the world's largest manufacturers of Personal care products, our client is at the forefront of innovation across a vast range of prestigious leading household names. Operating in Europe, Africa & Asia, this company dominate many markets worldwide. Due to an ever expanding product base, our client is looking to strengthen their perfumery department and is now seeking to appoint an experienced Fragrance Chemist to join as the Fragrance Technical Manager.

As Fragrance Technical Manager, you be responsible for the development of new and existing product development projects, incorporating new fragrance technologies into the company portfolio. You will need to build relationships with suppliers and business partners to enable the delivery of new technologies to both the internal and external customers. You will be responsible for the generation of formulations for the portfolio and must understand the technical ability of other products and their interaction with fragrances. You will analyse competitor products to establish content of fragrance and provide advice on materials being used in the formulations. Develop exciting new formulas by researching new materials and fragrance ingredients to assist in the creative process of perfumery.

Our client is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and proactive individual with the drive to seek out and generate new and novel technology opportunities that will bring the worldwide customer base a truly different fragrance experience with their products.

The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Fragrance technology with 4-5 years in a fragrance development or equivalent role. There must be an evidenced ability of creativity and you must be confident in driving forward disruptive innovation.
