Rimmel London appoints James Molloy as Global Makeup Ambassador

Make-up artist Molloy was previously UK Senior Artist and Director of Makeup Artistry (Asia Pacific) at MAC

Rimmel London has announced James Molloy as its newly appointed Global Makeup Ambassador.

Molloy has been recognised by the brand as a powerful voice to communicate Rimmel’s evolving beauty vision to both the consumer and influencer across all social and media platforms.

He has worked with industry insiders, photographers and celebrities, including Emma Watson, Kanye West and Dita Von Teese.

Molloy was previously UK Senior Artist and Director of Makeup Artistry (Asia Pacific) at MAC. In this role he was involved in key shows for designers like Stella McCartney, Moschino Resort and Proenza Schouler.

Montse Passolas, Vice President Global Marketing Rimmel London & Manhattan, added: “We are extremely excited to be working with James as our new Global Make-up Ambassador for Rimmel. James has spent some time abroad, which has given him an impressive and open-minded view on beauty. His connection and understanding of the new digitally savvy modern consumer that embraces different looks based on their ever evolving persona, drove us immediately to James; if you top that with his genuine warmth as a person and love for make-up like us, sparkles can come out of this partnership.”

Molloy states: “I am truly honoured to partner with Rimmel as their new Global Makeup Ambassador. I am so proud to be working with such a strong British brand and am very excited to start working with them on their new image and bringing the London Look to life.”

In his new role, Molloy will create innovative, trend-lead looks which speak to the consumer and influencer.
