Perfect Corp is the latest company to release a mobile skin diagnostic tool.
The augmented reality company now allows beauty lovers to use its YouCam Makeup app to analyse their skin by taking a selfie.
The new app will be competing with the likes of Olay’s Skin Advisor app and Allure’s SkinBetter.
YouCam Makeup’s new features including scoring the skin health across wrinkles, spots, skin texture and dark circles.
The technology is said to be smart enough to balance lighting conditions and normalise environmental factors to accurately track changes in the skin condition over time.
Documenting success
The in-app ‘Skin Diary’ allows users to track the efficiency of their skin care regimen.

To encourage app users to discover the recently added features, Perfect Corp is encourage consumers to share their five-day 'Skin Diary' via #YouCamSkinDiary on Instagram, or Facebook, for a chance to win $50 worth of skin care products.
