Coatex and Seppic – both experts in rheological additives for waterborne formulations – have announced their decision to enter into a long-term research and development partnership in the hope of developing innovative solutions for personal care formulators. The collaboration will focus on Coatex’s core sustainable technologies, namely water-soluble polyacrylates and polyurethanes and the new polymers will be manufactured by Coatex and marketed globally by Seppic.

“This type of collaboration between two independent companies is a unique combination of expertise offered to the market,” said Alain Mari, ceo of Coatex. “The expertise of Seppic’s personal care market teams will help us in driving our R&D efforts towards the innovations customers are expecting.”

Charles-Henri des Villettes, chairman of Seppic, added: “Thanks to our partnership with Coatex, we will offer worldwide a new product line for rinse off, hygiene and skin care applications. By activating all synergies within our teams, we are convinced that we will bring innovation and value to our customers.”
