Seppic has added to the edible beauty world with Sepitone, a nutricosmetic active ingredient promising healthy glowing skin.

The additive and preservative-free ingredient is obtained via fermented wild bilberries, which are rich in proanthocyanidins.

These offer powerful protection against oxidative stress and have beneficial effects on collagen, skin elasticity and blood circulation.

On a panel of 60 women with dull skin during a randomised, double-blind and placebo controlled clinical trial, Sepitone was shown to impart beneficial effects on skin colour, the evenness of skin tone, skin roughness and skin microcirculation.

Lea Marchal, Marketing Product Manager at Seppic, said: "This new active ingredient, first introduced at Vitafoods 2021, in Geneva, allying efficacy and naturality, is the new example of Seppic expertise in beauty-from-within.

“Seppic teams design ingredients driven by science with the most care for people's health and desire for naturality."
