Shade-locator app ShadeScout has expanded its offering with ShadeScout Nails. The new service allows users to search for specific colours across brands to find a suitable nail polish shade.
The app allows consumers to search for nail varnish shades, taking inspiration from objects around them. Users need to "scout" a shade using the camera on their smartphones and instant recieve a list of closely-matching nail varnish shades. The app lists shades from 25 major and boutique brands.
Users can purchase products directly from the app, browse current nail trends and share pictures on social media. Those who also download the original ShadeScout app can search for the same colours across colour cosmetics as well, finding eye shadow to match their nails, for example.

The app is free to download and available for use on iPhones and iPads.
