Shiseido has announced it will be the beauty partner for Kenzo’s new Spring-Summer 2018 campaign film, YO! MY Saint.

The original film, with music by American-South Korean singer, Karen O and directed by award-winning film director, screenwriter and producer Ana Lily Amirpour, incorporates music, film, fashion and beauty.

It stars Alex Zhang Hungtai, Jessica Henwick and Kiko Mizuhara.

The brands have united in order to embrace their Japanese roots and history.

Brand Director of Shiseido, Yoshiaki Okabe, said: “Our involvements as the exclusive beauty partner for Kenzo’s YO! My Saint dilm demonstrates how Shiseido is stretching the limitations of what it means to be a global beauty brand.

“To represent a more meaningful and inclusive kind of beauty. To inspire a sense of empathy and emotion through the lens of art. Ours is a soulful beauty that represents Shiseido’s rich culture and Japanese heritage.”

Humberto Leon, Creative Director for Kenzo, added: “We’re living in a time where we’re super embracing our heritage and I think that it’s perfect that we celebrate the Japanese heritage of the Kenzo brand, but also celebrating us all as Asians.”
