Shiseido poaches new CFO from rival Coty

Ronald Gee will commence his new role on 22 April

Shiseido has announced the appointment of Ronald Gee as its Chief Financial Officer of its subsidiary Shiseido Americas.

Gee will take on his new role on 22 April and will be responsible for Shiseido America’s financie and information technology operations.

Gee joins Shiseido from rival beauty conglomerate Coty, where he also served as Chief Financial Officer of the Americas overseeing commercial execution across mass, prestige and salon channel businesses. He held this role for three years and, prior to this, worked at L’Oréal USA for almost ten years. At L’Oréal, Gee held the position of Vice President of Finance for the International Designer Collections. He handled financial activities concerning L’Oréal’s designer fragrances and prestige cosmetics and skin care brands.

At Shiseido, Gee will be tasked with supporting regional integration efforts and helping the company enhance corporate structure for prestige brands including NARS, Bare Escentuals, Shiseido Cosmetics America and BPI .
