Sales in Japan rose 4% in August compared with the same month a year ago
Shiseido sales in Japan rose 4% in August compared with the same month a year ago, following a similar increase in July. Sales of counselling cosmetics rose sharply from a year earlier, reflecting an increase in sales of its prestige brand Clé de Peau Beauté, which introduced new colours for autumn and winter, and strong sales of Elixir. Sales of self-selection cosmetics, meanwhile, declined year on year given a fall in Aqualabel. Sales of toiletries also dropped year on year, reflecting a fall in Seabreeze.. . .
