Sisley drew inspiration from the latest studies into slimming to reveal the properties of a powerful plant-based active ingredient, longan seed extract, which tackles the appearance of cellulite on two levels: it limits the growth of fat cells (adipocytes) by inhibiting the PAI-1 protein that feeds them, and acts in conjunction with Indian lotus extract to preserve the extracellular matrix, slowing the expansion of new fat cells in both number and size.
Meanwhile, extracts of soya and alkekengi calyx help to reduce skin slackening, and shea butter, sunflower and rapeseed oil smooth and moisturise skin.
In tests, skin dimples were smoothed and reduced in size by 30% after four weeks of twice-daily use. Available from 1 March 2014.
