SpecChem introduces coconut shell-activated carbon

Published: 22-Jan-2018

New from SpecChem is SpecKare CAC: activated carbon from coconut shells.

The soft, black substance is made by heating carbon-containing substances (like coconut) in a restricted amount of air.

The activated charcoal is non-toxic and tasteless with a large surface area; it can absorb 100-200 times its own weight.

Cosmetic applications include oral products, where it helps whiten teeth and promote good oral health; skin care, due to its ability to reduce the appearance of pores, acne and acne scars; and oil and odour control.

SpecKare CAC is 100% natural, sustainable and COSMOS approved.
