Stability testing is a critical step in the development of cosmetic and personal care products… indeed, virtually all types of products.
A properly designed stability study can predict how the quality of a product might change over time, under the influence of a variety of environmental factors such as temperature, humidity and light.
Although the most common reason for conducting stability testing is for the assigning of product expiration dates, its primary function is to assess the stability of product formulations and to identify unwanted interactions between the product and its container system.
