The sun brings excitement and optimism to many Britons after a long winter. Yet with the UK’s changeable climate, the hopes of a solid few months of sunshine and blue skies are often dashed. Even last month, an air of disappointment permeated much of Britain last month when the much-hyped solar eclipse was hidden from view by vast grey clouds.
