It has been a year of highs and lows for the UK sun care market. The weather, as always, proved a critical factor and while there were record highs in July, the average temperature dropped to just 13.9°C in what became a chilly and soggy August. An article in The Guardian last year noted that the “British summer was the coldest in three years.” This was undoubtedly a root cause of the 4.1% decline in sales of sun care products
