Superdrug has announced it is to tighten its screening for customers seeking Botox and fillers in its stores, with tougher health checks being put in place before cosmetic procedures are performed.

The move comes following criticism from the NHS England’s Medical Director, Professor Stephen Powis, who said availability and ease of booking such procedures without “medically responsible” checks beforehand risked fuelling mental health disorders.
