Cork-based Sughera adds a natural touch to color components

At CosmeticBusiness in Munich, Corpack will be presenting sustainable packaging concepts for color cosmetics.

The compacts of the Avalon series and lipsticks are made of plastic and Sughera. Sughera is an innovative material consisting of 70% recycled cork and 30% synthetic rubber-blend. The cork material is conform with Ecocert / Cosmos standards and helps to reduce the plastic content in the packaging.

Sughera compacts and lipsticks look and feel pleasant to the touch: the surface is soft and velvety, they do not slip from the hands or surface they are lying on.

Sughera color components can be made in selected natural or pastel shades. Customization with logo and textures is possible with decoration techniques such as embossing, screen printing and UV printing.

Last but not least, every component made of Sughera is unique: The distribution of the cork grains differs in each piece, no one is equal to another.

Over the last years, Corpack has focused on integrating natural materials and has strived to develop resourcesaving packaging solutions for cosmetics.

The cooperation with the manufacturer Livingcap enables Corpack to be the first company to introduce Sughera in a wide range of cosmetic packaging including skin care.
