Sweet smell of Viktor & Rolf

Published: 19-Feb-2014

Dutch couture house Viktor & Rolf will launch Bonbon in March, its latest women’s fragrance with a bottle in the shape of a wrapped sweet.

Created by Cécile Matton and Serge Majoullier of Mane, the gourmand fragrance has head notes of mandarin, orange and peach, heart notes of caramel, jasmine and orange blossom and base notes of cedar, guaiac wood, sandalwood and amber. The juice is bright magenta and the outer packaging looks like a pink present.

The advertising campaign for the fragrance, shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, features model Edita Vilkeviciute, naked and body-painted with pink ribbons, with a large bottle in her lap.

Bonbon – a play on the French words for ‘good’ and ’sweet’ – will be launched as an exclusive at Viktor & Rolf’s new Paris boutique, at Selfridges in the UK and at de Bijenkort in the Netherlands before rolling out to other doors in April, including Saks Fifth Avenue.

Bonbon will cost €58 for 30ml, €85.50 for 50ml and €108.90 for 100ml.
