Talking tactics: Murad on how to enter the UK market


The brand creates its first affiliate outside the US, moving further into the UK

In this week's Expert Advice column, Blake Hughes, General Manager – Europe at Murad discusses the brand's expansion strategy.

Focusing on the UK, can you describe Murad's business highlights over the past 12 months?
2014 was another record-breaking sales year leading to our biggest highlight, which was the Murad family acquiring the UK joint venture to create their first affiliate outside the US. This exciting development will lead to future growth and expansion plus great opportunities for the team. During the year we also expanded our department store presence, continued the strong double digit growth in our salon business and successfully launched onto QVC. We also have a very strong e-commerce business and saw strong double digit sales growth in 2014 – this was our best year of online trading.
